10 Unique Characters
Sonic the Hedgehog- uniquely sarcastic personality. Really laid back, but likes running fast and adrenaline rushes. Trademark blue hedgehog with red sneakers that collects rings. I have never heard of another hedgehog character that ever became well known or was quite as stylized.

Shrek- New style of ogre- weird alien ears, green color, same old personality. The nicely designed twist is that Shrek has many human qualities and can be related to since he appears on the exterior to be an uncaring brute, while actually being caring and just misunderstood and forced into his stereotype.

Miles “Tails” Prower- Also unique character. Has two tails which he uses to fly in the air like a helicopter. Has a little brother personality, wants to be cool and brave. Only flying fox that I have seen.

Woody-Nice guy who becomes jealous of another guy who steals all of his attention. Unique idea, main characters in animated movies usually have different issues such as pride or bravery issues. Jealousy brings in a new concept, creating an interesting, but likeable character.

Garfield the cat- Fat cat that suffers from superiority complex. Unique in that the main character is overweight. Also that he likes lasagna. Unique idea, also has an interesting enough personality to make for an interesting character.

Ernest P. Worrell- Stupid and innocent, yet very likable. Funny impressions, wacky voice, wacky expressions, unique costume of hat, jeans, vest, Instantly recognizable.

The Grinch- Evil and extremely selfish, yet changes enough to cover over all the mistakes he had made. Unique green man stylized into a hairy creature. Look is recognizable, personality is similar to other evil characters who have changed their ways, however since the Grinch deals with Christmas and has been around since the 1960s, the character stands out among other evil characters.

Snoopy- Doesn’t talk, finds funny ways to entertain himself, sleeps on top of his doghouse, loves to dance, is classy. Pretends to be a world war two flying ace. Simple but recognizable black and white dog.

Barney- Purple Dinosaur, everyone knows who he is because of his goofy voice, purple color, and creepily cheerful mood. Unique enough in appearance to stand out as one of the creepiest children show characters.

Homer Simpson- Yellow man with goofy voice. Stupid, yet unknowingly funny. Has no sense of reality. Audience loves character because of his goofy way of getting himself into and out of situations.
