Project 01 – Final Link
February 8, 2010I found this project to be a well positioned exercise given the extent of animation knowledge we were presented with. The project allowed for us to experiment with the keying operations of Maya while still operating with the boundaries of defined guidelines. The expectations were simple enough that, with the time given, one was able to approach a reasonable level of execution.
I found, while working on the project, that having the sound file completely finished prior to starting the animation process was a vital step in planning the progress of the animation. In terms of animating itself, I found it to be easy enough to acclimate oneself to Maya’s system of controls. Although, I am sure having experience with Flash’s system, which operates in a similar fashion, was of some help. I am looking forward to experiencing some of Maya’s more advanced details in the future projects.
