Jungle Project Progress as of Thursday, October 16, 08
This image represents where I currently stand in the class Jungle Project. You will notice the image plane, because I have been having difficulty removing it for rendering. As you can guess, the image plane is my reference photo of a realistic scene that I will then apply the styles of the painters I’ve researched to depict these plants in a surreal way. The image is actually a picture of foliage and branches that I took on the Bowling Green Campus.
Also, some leaves are not showing…because they are somehow being ignored by the rendering process! It is a bug that I am currently working on and an updated images should be posted soon.
Jungle Image Research
I knew that I would have to be replicating one of the paintings, so I applied what I learned in class about Henri Rousseau, and sought after paintings that were composed of simple shapes. Here are some images I found.
