Name: Fukuro (Japanese for “owl”)
Gender: Male
Life Cycle: Can live to be up to 200 years old, relative to a human.
Age: 150 years
Height: 4′ 5″ (due to his anthropomorphic form)
Weight: 15 lbs.
Occupation: Counselor/Town Elder
Need/Purpose: He serves as a figure of wisdom in his respective story arc. Meant to encompass the “Wise Man” archetype.
Diet: Carnivorous (his favorite food is rodents)
Anatomy: Fukuro is a half-human, half-owl humanoid. The upper half of his body resembles an owl the most, but his limbs are more human. He is stout and has quite spindly limbs, yet he has the ability to turn his arms into actual wings.
Nocturnal Habits: Since he’s an owl humanoid, he prefers to sleep during the day. Hence, whenever someone tries to consult him during daylight hours, he is understandably annoyed and will sometimes shoo them away. However, he spends most of his free time studying and pursuing spiritual knowledge, so he does not necessarily get along well with people even when he’s available for counseling.
Personality: He is frightfully intelligent and thinks more logically than intuitively. He is haughty and high-strung, and if he has any sense of humor, it is sarcastic at best. A realist and a loner, he will not hesitate to tell someone like it is. Despite his old age, he is quite imposing and is not one to be messed with. Fukuro’s greatest fear is people either misunderstanding him or not taking him seriously at all. His intelligence has inflated his ego a bit, and so he has a tendency to look down on people sometimes. This makes him a busybody as well, and will poke his nose into other people’s business from time to time. Despite the fact that he thinks too highly of himself, he takes his job as a wise man and elder very seriously and will counsel others when they need him.
