My understanding of a resume is a written platform to show your education and career achievements. A resume is a showcase of these items for a potential employer. Resumes should include and highlight any specifics in your job experience and education that would make you a great candidate for the job applied for. Beginning in high school, we were required to start learning how to create and maintain a resume. Later, in college classes, we continued to explore resumes and what features make them appealing and more importantly, effective. It was interesting to see how my resume has changed from high school to college; in high school my resume consisted of a lot less material that applies to my area of interest in a career than it does now.
