Kudos to Dr. Susana Peña, director of the School of Cultural and Critical Studies and ACS-affiliated faculty member. Her book, ¡Oye Loca!: From the Mariel Boat Lift to Gay Cuban Miami, has been named among the finalists for two recognitions:
• The Lambda Literary Awards, in the LGBT Studies category.
• The Randy Shilts Award for Gay Nonfiction, by the Publishing Triangle, an association of lesbians and gay men in publishing.
