LOCAL GOVERNMENT & PUBLIC POLICY INTERNSHIPS

Bowling Green City Councilman Daniel Gordon is offering internships in applied public policy work for summer and fall 2016. Core responsibilities include researching new innovations in public policy being tested in cities across the nation, and evaluating those ideas for possible implementation in Bowling Green.

 

Positions include:

– Social Policy Research Aide

– Economic Policy Research Aide

– Environmental Policy Research Aide

– Transportation Policy Research Aide

– Constituent Outreach Liaison

 

These internships are especially relevant for students who are 1) studying political science; law; women’s, gender, and sexuality studies; environmental studies; economics; sociology; and public administration; and 2) looking for applied work experience in public policy, local government, and/or community organizing. Interns may also receive course credit if applicable and approved by their advisor(s).

 

Applications will be accepted until May 15th, 2016 for summer positions and until September 1st, 2016 for fall positions.
