”’The Judas Syndrome”’ is a New York Thrash band originally from the Bronx,Lower Westchester County, And Queens, New York.

Biography
Before TJS
By late 2007, the members of what was to become The Judas Syndrome found themselves scattered within the shattered remains of New York’s underground metal scene. Phil Vibes, formerly of international powerhouse IRATE, Ian (ION)of Stifling Neglect, and Tony (Bones), Chris (Oblivion) and Tom (Coney) from Afflitus, spent time persuing independent interests outside of the genre, collectively disappointed in the direction that the industry had gone in as well as having all suffered the hard choices of passing on recording contracts with Earache Records, Prosthetic Records, and Spitfire Records/Eagle Rock Entertainment. Notably, Chris spent time writing and recording with the Trance DJ duo of Filo and Peri who topped the Billboard dance charts in the summer of 2008.

Opportunity Knocks
In early 2007, aspiring music producer called the members of Afflitus for a short reunion to record the band’s final material as well as a cover of ‘I Just Died In Your Arms’ by the New Wave act Cutting Crew. It was during those sessions that Phil Vibes was called in to record the hoarse vocals for the Afflitus song ‘Of Our Yesterdays’ as Alex Afflitus no longer wished to risk damage to his natural singing voice.
