Blake Sorensen (born August 9, 1988) is an American football linebacker and special teams player for the Wisconsin Badgers of the Big Ten Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. He is an alumnus of Eden Prairie High School, where he led the Eagles to a 2006 state championship. Sorensen began playing for the Eagles in 2004, and quickly made an impact as a defensive substitute, working his way onto the first string his Junior season in 2005, and finally culminated his career at Eden Prairie when he was named ‘Mr. Football’ by the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association. Dubbed ‘The Puxatony Paradox’ for his odd love of groundhogs, and ‘The Zapper’ for his love of future-war-simulation science fiction, Sorensen started his first game for the Badgers as a true Sophomore.
