John Spendluffe Foundation Technology College is a [[secondary modern school]] situated in the rural market town of [[Alford, Lincolnshire]] on Hanby Lane.

== Admissions ==

The current Headteacher is Mrs C Carey and there are 55 staff and 13 support staff. Currently there are 612 students on role, However it does not have a Sixth form.

It is a popular alternative for pupils living in the Alford area if they do not wish to or were not accepted into [[Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Alford]]

== Specialist Status ==

In 2003, Febuary, John Spendluffe Foundation Technology College was designated a Technology College. This means that they demonstrate commitment to using Technology to enhance all subject areas. To raise standards at all levels in the school they were given clear targets to meet, and must play an important role working with other schools and groups in the local community.

In 2005 John Spendluffe Foundation Technology College was identified by the government as a Foundation School. At Foundation Schools, the governing body employs the schools staff and has primary responsibility for admission arrangements. The school’s land and buildings are owned by the governing body or by a charitable foundation. Many of these schools were formerly grant-maintained schools.

==Academic performance==
The school gets reasonable results at GCSE, slightly lower than [[Monks’ Dyke Technology College]], Louth and [[Cordeaux School]], Louth.
