[[http://www.gobep.com Berks Economic Partnership (BEP) ]] was form in 2002 as a public, private non-profit organization dedicated to creating sustainable and diverse employment opportunities in Berks County. The Orgnanization opened for business on March 3, 2003.

BEP is driven to bring new business to Berks County and retain and enchance the developement of existing businesses. A major part of BEP’s mission is to help the community prepare for economic development and serve as catalyst for change.

Today, BEP in involved with a number of important initiatives. These include, but are not limited to: Keystone Opportunity Zone, Keystone Innovation Zone, Foreign Trade Zone 147, WIRED/Wall street West, and [http://www.penncorridor.com Penn Corridor.]

Berks Economic Partnership is the lead marketing agency and primary point of contact for all economic developement requires relating to the Greater Reading and Berks County area. Berks Economic Partnership coodinates and work with other economic developement agencies to provide a single voice to attract, retain, promote and grow economic development in a colloborative and unifield manner.
