At NSTA Learning Center, search “seasons” and select “free” and “elementary school,” to find the Science Object “Earth, Sun, and Moon: Earth’s Seasons,” a primer on teaching the reason for the seasons. The search will also bring up archived S&C articles on seasonal change.

The Theoi Project is a site exploring Greek mythology and the gods in classical literature and art. The aim of the project is to provide a comprehensive, free reference guide to the gods (theoi), spirits (daimones), fabulous creatures (theres) and heroes of ancient Greek mythology and religion.

This links to a study guide for the book Extra Credit by Andrew Clements for teachers to help students discuss the story of two sixth graders, a young girl in Illinois and a boy in Afghanistan, who become pen pals.
