Librarians, staff and students working at the Wm. T. Jerome Library Research and Information Desk have been assisting students through online chat for over 15 years. This online library service has become increasingly vital as the number of students taking online courses continues to increase. During the Spring 2018 semester, 1,576 chat questions were answered with 15 percent of the questions coming from BGSU distance leaners. Chats user also connected to the Research and Information Desk from 36 states and 18 countries.
