Donors support passion with a gift to the CRC

University Libraries recently received a gift to create the Ellen J. Blackwell Curriculum Resource Center Support Fund created by Brian Linn 73 and Dorothy (“Dottie”) Linn 72. The fund will provide general support for the Curriculum Resource Center which supports the undergraduate and graduate teaching programs in the College of Education and Human Development and other BGSU education-related areas. The gift recognizes the important role played by Dottie’s aunt, Ellen J. Blackwell, in encouraging, empowering and supporting Dottie during her lifetime.

The Linns said, “Our gift to support the Curriculum Resource Center within the University Libraries not only accomplished our goal of helping students further their education, but also allowed us to maximize our impact and minimize our tax liability by making gifts of appreciated securities.”

The fund will support the purchase of STEM related resources and initiatives, representing the Linns’ belief in the importance of encouraging youth, particularly young women, to seek careers in STEM.
