The Center for Archival Collections has received a substantial grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to support innovative digital projects for the public, the preservation of collections at small institutions, and humanities initiatives on college campuses. BGSU was one of eight institutions selected within the state of Ohio.
The project, “Preserving and Contextualizing the Islamic Culture and Heritage of NW OHIO Project,” will further the connections between the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo and BGSU through public and digital exhibitions and programming. One central feature of the partnership is a community digitization day, a shared event hosted at the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo by the Center for Archival Collections. https://www.neh.gov/news/neh-announces-148-million-253-humanities-projects-nationwide
