New Resource – IPA Source

The University Libraries have just acquired IPA Source – a database of International Phonetic Alphabet and literal transcriptions of over 4,500 opera arias and art songs. A range of composers are represented, from Bach to Zingarelli. Users can browse by composer, poet, or title, or by opera aria or Latin text.  The database also includes tools to help with diction and sound recordings of texts in Latin, Italian, German and French intended for pronunciation help for the singer.
