Mechanics: As the player observes and guides the planet’s population growth for the sake of earning currency, they will need to replace regions as they run out of resources. While new regions will cost currency and placing it will effectively squish the previous region’s population, it will ultimately allow for more population growth. Not to mention the refreshed resources will maintain the upkeep of the planets occupants.

Ultimately the goal is to get as much currency as possible before the end of your shift. Boosts such as increased growth rates or population caps can be purchased one time as permanent upgrades for the player for all future shifts.
