Update on Otsego…
Unfortunately, I have some bad news to report from my tutoring experience at Otsego High School. Like I said before, I have been helping a student by the name of Alex. He really struggles with school, and it is obvious that he does not enjoy it very much. That being said, everything was going great. Alex was working well with me. He always shows me respect and listens to what I have to say. He has been working hard, and doing very well on his work. It was obvious to me that he was learning quite a bit.
However, things took a bad turn recently. I will not get into specifics, but Alex and some of his classmates were suspended for five days. It really disappointed me to hear about this. I was really proud of the progress Alex was making, and it really made me feel bad that he got in trouble again. Alex has been put through a lot in life, and it was good to see him working hard to better himself. As a result, when I heard he was suspended, it just really made me feel terrible for him. I think that Alex is a really good kid. I still think that he can do a lot of things in life. I just hope that he responds well to this latest incident, and does not regress.
As a result, I started working with another student by the name of William. Will is really behind on his school work, so I look forward to helping him out. So far I have helped him write a paper, and it looks like that is what we will be doing the next time I see him. I will be sure to update you on how the rest of the semester ends up.
