BGSU Blog Assignment
Comments(621) | My first introduction I ever had to Blogs was the movie Julie and Julia. This movie is about a girl who decides to write about her experiences cooking Julia Child’s recipes. It was a cute movie and a great idea to share the difficulties some of the recipes can be. Since this would have been my first introduction to blogging, I am not a blogger or ever looked at blogs that I am aware of.
Going through some of these blog sites as indicated in the assignment I can see how people can really get into blogging. I personally would find cooking blogs and science related blogs the most interesting. The Globe of blogs brought me to a blog of the month http://globeofblogs.com/2015/07/blog-of-the-month-july-2015#respond “Healthy food reviews” http://www.thehealthyfoodreview.com/ which I always love learning about food. I did try and post a comment but it directed me to setting up my own blog. I can see from going through the sites that some blogs seem to be where a person is selling themselves such as in the “Healthy food review” the author of a weight loss book.
I truly didn’t use any criteria other than how it looked. I am not familiar enough with blogs to know what is functional or not. The Science blog seemed to be about science related topics. The Globe of blogs was a blog directory similar to the Eaton web blog. The Eaton web blog actually rates the blogs http://portal.eatonweb.com/ The Gadget blog had some interesting things.
My new blog http://blogs.bgsu.edu/sbeaula/ at this point has no real purpose but I like the picture I posted. This is where I currently live and it’s amazing. Wasaga Beach is the world’s largest fresh water beach! I thought maybe I could post random thoughts or questions from the beach!
I remember watching the movie Julie and Julia with my family. It was a really good movie and shows how blogs can drive peoples lives and give them passion about something when they are in a tough time in their life. I am also jealous that you get to live on a beach, I went to the jersey shore this summer and board walk and I really would like to go back.
I like your setting a lot.
I too like the cooking blogs. It is interesting to see different recipes and different ways of cooking. Most times I Google how to cook something I land on a blog.

I really like the colors that you have used and it makes everything easy on the eyes. Also the header picture that you have is really cool and it compliments things nicely.
Sherri, you have a wonderful format to your blog. I wonder how long it took you to do this, I’m sure not long. Mine took, forever. I know I’m new at this but I have a long way to go. Great job.
