I felt the two samples were similar in the fact about the point they were getting across but different with the individual topics they focused on. Powell focues on the similarities and differences with hip-hop from back then to now a days and how it changed. The next sample talks about the overall idea of why we had to go to war. I feel the introduction to the Powell sample was much more stronger and specific details with what he was going to be talking about in the article. The sample with Bush, the introduction was not as specific and more general and somewhat confusing as far as what was going to be discussed in the furthur reading of the article. I think the introduction to my rhetorical analysis should include a lot of detail with a strong opening sentence to grab my reader’s attention. Also with a specific audience and a lot of detail with in the introduction to what my paper will be about. I feel that if you get the full point across in the first opening paragraph, then the reader will have a topic he or she will be focused on and continue reading. I think this is a strong thing to consider when thinking about a rhetorical analysis. I will include the original where the original source came from, a set tone and briefly introduce the topic when going into detail later.
