The Q Arena Blog SWOT Analysis

20 Sep

The Blog site that I found for the Q Arena is a site formerly known as What’s The Diff and is now called Zing. The site is basically used for anything that has to do with the Q Arena located in Cleveland, Ohio. The Q Arena has been in the spotlight for some years not, special thanks to former King James and the site is dedicated to bringing people the latest news, upcoming events and facts about the Q. The new site has changed in a considerable amount of ways, but in order to carry out the SWOT analysis, I will do one on the new site, ZING!

Strengths:

  • The site has a very simple and user friendly interface
  • Easy to navigate through the blog and site
  • Large lettering for easy reading
  • Very informative about events, news and interesting facts about the arena
  • Tags at the bottom of the post which allows users to explore more of the site
  • Provides very enlightening links that take you to the actual website
  • Have links to the major social sits, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube and makes it easy to share

Weaknesses:

  • Even though the site is simple, it may be too simple for some users. The plain white background and uncolored fonts makes the page lack attention and interest
  • Unlike their old blog, What’s The Diff?, this blog is shared with other categories that have nothing to do with the Quicken Loans Arena, this might confuse some users

Opportunities:

  • The site doesn’t have advertising, which could be a strength, but it would benefit from the use of it on their page
  • Since the site is user friendly and very interactive, they should use more colors and designs to attract users and retain their interests

Threats:

  • Other blog sites may be just dedicated to one topic area in which might be preferred
  • The lack of color and design may deflect a user to use another site that is pleasing to the eye
