Black Friday Chaos! 11-26-10
11.28
Last week in one of my professors in my Telecommunications classes told us we should take pictures of Black Friday (hopefully for extra credit) if we went out into the madness. So thats what I did! I also did a short video of me inside Best Buy in Perrysburg, Ohio. It was a lot of fun (as it is every year.) I ended up picking up NBA 2K11 for Xbox 360 for $29 (regular price $59.99), Tekken 6 for Xbox 360 for $9.99 (regular price $29.99), American Gangster (DVD) for $3 (regular price $9.99) and The Dark Knight (DVD) for $5 (regular price $9.99). Got some great deals, but was mainly out there to take pictures and have fun. I can’t wait until next year! I’ll probably be out there again. But for now Enjoy the pictures and video, Thanks for looking!

KISS – The HOTTEST Show On Earth Tour 2010
09.14
On Saturday September 11, 2010, I was lucky enough to go to Clarkston, MI and see KISS LIVE! There were early complications because apparently there are DTE Energy Music Theatres. The first one I mapquested was only 45 mins away from where I live, but the second one (the correct place I needed to be) was 2 hours away! My friend and I did not leave until 5pm and the doors opened at 6pm and we had a 2 hour drive ahead of us. However, everything worked out. We got there in exactly enough time to use the restroom, buy overpriced hot dogs & fries, and get souvenir t-shirts. KISS is actually the only artist I have ever seen LIVE that went on stage on time. Fans were told KISS would arrive at 8:50, they actually came out at 8:45, KUDOS to them for being on time. Finally, the concert started. The concert was everything I could have imagined and more. Everything you always hear about KISS LIVE is all true and then some. They proceeded to open the show with their signature opening “You wanted the best….You got the best…..The HOTTEST Band In The World!!! KISS!!!” Then, they played one of the singles from their newest album “Sonic Boom” entitled “Modern Day Delilah.” From here it was no turning back, the stage antics had begun. Paul Stanley’s zip line ride through the crowd, Gene Simmons blood spewing as well as flying onto the top of a the stage lights, Eric Singer’s levitating drum solos, Tommy Thayer’s ridiculous behind the back guitar solos, it was AMAZING. They performed all of my favorites including “Detroit Rock City” “100,000 Years” “Love Gun” & “I Love It Loud.” The latter two were actually performed back to back, which is great because those are my two favorites. The fact that it was September 11 also made it a significant day and the band proceeded to honor the day by doing the Pledge of Allegiance. The band also donates $1 from every ticket sold at the particular show. That night, they ended up donating $372,000, to the families of soldiers and military services. I also would like to throw in that they performed “Crazy Crazy Nights” for the first time since the late 80’s/early 90’s as a dedication after former drummer Eric Carr’s passing away in 1991. It was great to hear them perform the song again. My worse fear about paying around $70 for the tickets were the me not getting my moneys worth, but it was definitely well worth it and I would do it again! And again! And again! It was an overall great show and I HIGHLY recommend you going to see KISS the next time they’re in your hometown! I will be uploading links/some of my personal pictures from the concert. Enjoy and until next time….KEEP ROCKING!
