I agree with what the article has to say about the racism. Whether its hidden or not, done purposely or not, it still exists. Race should not be a border in society. As the article stated, we should have a “Color-Blind Society.” There is always a problem with caucasians getting into better schools easier, thus leading to better jobs, thus leading to better life styles. There is also controversy when caucasians date/marry outside their race or vice-versa. I think the should be focused more on unity and destroying racism. I don’t like racism because of the boundaries it sets upon one another. The world would be a much better, fair, place without racism.

Barbie was not made as a weapon. Mr. Ryan designed the Barbie doll’s body thinking about what he would want a woman’s body to look like. This is similar to the movie “Weird Science.” Everyone has a vision of their ideal man/woman. Mr. Ryan had a chance to bring his thoughts to life and he did. Mr. Ryan created his ideal woman into a doll and billions of people across the world identified with the doll in one way or another as seen by sales. The Barbie doll has been purchased by almost every girl since its release. I also agree that Barbie can be look upon as a positive, by people that see her tremendous bust as a problem. Barbie owns EVERYTHING. She is a flight attendant, owns a multitude of property, horses, and cars. Barbie should be looked upon as enpowerment for women.

Synthesis is simply a way of getting people to believe a claim is true. Synthesis deals with all of the ways to argue and support the claim. On page 146, it states that synthesis are used “in order to establish fscts, to make statements of value, and recommend policies. Synthesis should be associated with Claim, Support, and Assumption. Claims are “propositions or conclusions that are trying to be proved.” To prove a claim, support must be used to reenforce the claim. With claims and positive support allows the audience to make assumption about the outcome. Systhesis should be logical. The three parts should come together to ultimately prove the claim.

1. One thing I think is important is the Late Work Policy. Late work can not turned in unless arrangements are made with the teacher.

2. Another I think is important is Academic Honesty. Plagairism is bad. It is often much easier to plagairise a paper then actually to write it, but plagairism is wrong and students should stay away from it.
