This resource allows students to track their classes and assignments. It also has the

capability to send reminders via email or SMS for upcoming assignment due dates and

test dates. Students can also use the note taking utility so they can transcribe notes. It is a

great way for students to stay organized.

 

Evernote- Web site: www.evernote.com

Evernote allows students to easily capture information from web page, and use it with

other mobile versions, providing they have the correct applications. Using these

applications makes this information accessible and searchable from anywhere. The

tagline: “Remember Everything”. Students can also keep task lists, notes, web pages,

white boards, business cards, pictures, and even clip web pages to Evernote.

 

Dropbox- Web site: www.dropbox.com

This is a tool that allows students to save their files on a computer or smartphone as their

backup (like an automatic backup system). This means that students can access their files

anywhere at any time. Students don’t have to worry about forgetting their flash drive or it

not working.

This site is a great educational game site, it helps students learn  how to run a business.It also helps

students understand how to meet the customers’ needs and how other elements can effect a business.

The students will learn how to purchase product and sell the product within a given time and the product is lemonade.

 

Dweeber- Web site: http://dweeber.com/

This site is for great for students that can’t get together to do homework as a group. It

also has a tool to help students learn better. It is described as a homework social network.

Students can work on homework together and help each other out. There is a message

center, study sessions, and even a place to post links to web sites that you find helpful in

doing your work.

 

Scribblar- Web site: http://www.scribblar.com/index.cfm

Students can use it to collaborate on projects, teachers can tutor via the computer. They

can even add images. Scribblar gives the users a virtual white board on the screen and

writing tools to create text, lines and shapes. There is also a chat window on the side bar

so that users can talk to each other while working.

Elearners is a site that has some great resources for students that includes studying for a

test, keeping organized, assisting with grammar and writing. Everything broken down by

topic and is listed on one page, so it is easy to find things.

Presentation Tools:

 

SlideRocket- Web site: www.sliderocket.com

Sliderocket is a great tool for students to use when creating a presentation. Students

can be very creative and it is a little different from using power point. It is easy to use

and is saved on the site, students don’t have to worry about saving it on a flashdrive or

emailing it to themselves. A nice tool to use when giving a presentation or when needed

to download it for others to view.

 

Prezi- Web site: http://prezi.com/

This tool can be tricky to use if a student is not familiar with it. Once a student has

mastered the tool it can be a great way to give a presentation. is a cloud-based presentation software

that opens up a new world between slides. A special feature is that it  can create maps of texts, images,

videos, PDFs, drawings and present in a nonlinear way.

 

PhotoShow- Web site: http://www.photoshow.com

It is an easy site to use and create a story in minutes using photos that can be viewed on

most any site.  Most anyone can use it add pictures and videos and can be an automatic

slide show that can be shared and customized.
