More Testing, More Learning (question)

1. The purpose of the first paragraph is to grab the attention of the attended audience.

2. The way that the author defined the problem allows him to focus on those specific thing to come up with the best possible solution to the problem.

3. O’Malley uses these key terms to help support his solutions throughout his essay.

4. Paragraph three shows and example of how things should work, then it sets up the rest of his paper where he shows how exactly having test through out the term would help increase the grades of students.

5. O’Malley introduces the first reason with good support, he tells us that with good feedback it helps students perform better on major exams, projects and papers.

6. He uses in text citation to cite his sources, and he uses sources that specifically talk about his examples to support his topic, and support his solution to the problem.

7. He supports this reason saying that is helps improve students study habits, he says the more test you have the greater the frequency in studying you have.

8. He says that a possible objection would be that students are adults and the must learn to manage their own time but then he respondss saying that it is harder to learn a specific subject in school and it requires a lot of time studying.

9. He doesnt really support this source with a lot of detail, he kind of just plopped that fact into his paper.
