• Plagiarism is always considerd to be academic dishonesty, not only is it cheating but it is taking away from the person who actually did the work. 
• At Universities, if caught using plagiarism it often results in suspension or expulsion from the university.
• Academic dishonesty ranges from plagiarising a paper fully or just paraphrasing from another article without citing the sources, forging signatures, using a previous written paper without teachers consent or using false information within the text is considered to be academic dishonesty.

Elements within the essay’s:

Enlightenment, Hope, Faith, determination and change in personal beliefs.

Some elements I noticed while reading all the selected essay’s were faith in a greater power and hope for a better cause, always looking for change not only in themselves but in other people’s thoughts.  People realized that life is not only all about themselves but rather the whole as a group.  They began to see enlightenment and saw life very differently due to their tragic experiences , whether it was a loss of a child or husband, they realized that life went on and that there are other people out there who are willing to sacrifice thier time to help them through their problems.  I think these reading’s were meant to have true meaning to a person no matter what situation they are going through within their lives, for example, there was a ladie who was dirt poor all she had was a limited amount of money and a truck, she found herself shelter and a new home with people who could give her emotional support until she was ready to go back.  She learned to face her problems rather than just run away from them, she learned to accept reality.  All of the stories dealt with people and their everyday live challenges, each situation was different but there was a common theme amongst them, which is, Hope.  In every story there was difficult times but also the strong will of hope prevailed over everything.

To me, writing is an important aspect in regards to the success of a student.  Usually, if someone is well educated and can write well then the better chance of them speaking well is probable.  Also, I believe that writing is important because it is the second most common way of communication when it comes to interacting with someone else besides speaking directly to them.

From a english instructor’s point of view, obviously writing is an essential element when it comes to success not only of your class but in the world and daily life.  Therefore leaving the explanation that writing is important because it furthers our intelligence and communication skills.

First off, I would not directly enforce my child to write strictly because if I were to do that then more than likely they would be more defiant and not want to write anything at all.  I would be the romodel for my child by showing them what writing can do for their success.  I would tell him/her that it’s essential for the success of their future.
