Sounds Like Herb Alpert is going to grab all of the good LPs for himself unless you get over here and stop him!
The Misty Miss Christy knows it’s risky to wait where the free bin is concerned. Miss our last #lpalert? You get another chance today!
Petula Clark knows it’s A Sign [That It’s Time] for an LP Alert! Our free bin is full of song books, magazines, sheet music, and 78 albums.

Thanks to everyone who came out, and don’t forget the rest of the National Library Week celebrations in Jerome Library!
The Music Library took our show on the road again! This past Saturday we ventured forth to the Battleground States Conference, hosted by the Cultural Studies Scholar’s Association.
We’d like to give a big thanks to everyone who aided us in this adventure, including but not limited to: Susannah Cleveland, Gwen Evans, Joelle Thomas, Vera Lux, Paul Popa, Liz Tousey, Kevan Feshami and Lisa Woronzoff-Dashkoff. And kudos to the Culture Club, for such a well-organized conference in the face of adverse weather conditions!

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in the Sleevefacing event at Friday’s Arts Extravaganza. We had a great time meeting members of the community! Check out the results at:

We’d like to thank all of our merry band of volunteers from the library, Kellie Tilton, Julie Rabine, Vera Lux, and Gwen Evans who, variously, helped with setting up, taking down, recruiting and posing models, shooting, and generally keeping things going. We’d also like to extend a monumental thanks to Casey Wertepny, an innocent bystander who showed too much aptitude (for her own good) for setting up the shots and got Tom Sawyered into helping us the rest of the evening, including taking everything down at the end of the night. And, of course, a million thanks are due to Liz Tousey, the mastermind behind the whole project.
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to do a sleeveface but just haven’t had time to stop by the library, come to the Arts Extravaganza this Friday from 6:00-10:00 where we’ll be shooting and posting sleevefaces.
We’ll be in the same spot the library has occupied for the last several years – just inside the art building, by the door nearest to the library on the west side, 1st level – and will have a merry band of photographers and bloggers to capture all the vinyl glory. Hold onto your hats and prep your RSS feeds! Our Sleeveface of the Week feature is now it’s own blog, Library Sleevefacing.
No need to fear THIS change. The Library Sleevefacing blog will begin featuring posts from other libraries, allows commenting on posts, and much more!
