Technology & Literacy:
Unit Two called for an exploration of the intersection of technology and literacy. For this unit we were required to create (script, film, and produce) a public service announcement that dealt with an issue that could arise through the use of technology. Our group–Jon, Kareema, Laura, Mindy, and I–chose to do a PSA about the dangers of online predators. The second assignment in this unit required that we preform a rhetorical analysis of another PSA. For this assignment I chose the “Father Involvement” PSA created by the Ad Council.
