In this chapter intimacy comes into play as we decide into which way people would like to communicate over SL. This is the fine line that can be drawn in all of these chapters. The author speaks of the early age of SL when there was no actual linking of speaking through microphones. It was all im based with the advention and evolution of the microphone now people that were blind could be involved and it opened new doors to communication in SL. You could now foster friendships and even sexuality. Sexuality runs rampent in SL as it is the major driving force to the many strip clubs to the chiseled bodies of everyone’s avatars. The author also spoke of families in this diverse virtual universe. The author stated that everyone is at first glance is virtually a loner. However, more research eventually unveiled the fact that many families actually do things as a unit on SL.
