Abandoned steel mill
January 12, 2017

I sit and rust, once used as a steel mill now abandoned to the Ohio weather. It is a quite place that nature reclaimed from man, but I am still the mark of human’s touch on this piece of earth. I have once seen many people of all ages, now no beings of man steps foot on these grounds that I sit. I noticed the disappearance of man quickly, one by one people left after their shift to not return again until the day the leader of the people locked my doors and put a chain on my doors, no one was allowed to enter once more. That was many years ago and my chain lay broken and rusted by the cold winters here, my doors are cracked open to let nature to enter. I know that I shall crumble one day for my paint is cracked and I feel rust upon my metal bones. One day I will fall and let it come for it is my fate.
