Day Ten

May 18
Today was my first day of my work experience at Linedota. Christopher
Hill runs the company with his wife Feona. Stan was there helping me
learn Rhino, the CAD program that Chris uses. I was working on a
project in Uganda. The building Chris is designing will be used for
either school class rooms and/or clinics. The buildings materials
being used are things that can be found locally and can be reused.
Stan and I got a lot accomplished today for me being new to the
program. Another mice thing is a get to use my laptop so I have all my
setting set and etc.
I am on the tube now typing this up on my iPod and will be posting it
when I get on the Internet. Living in London is very different. It’s a
35-45 minutes commute to the firm from our hotel. I don’t mind, gives
me time to type this, read the paper and listen to my music.
Later on tonight we will be working on out video projects and
hopefully get some posted on facebook. We can’t figure out how to post
pictures and videos on the blog. Here’s the link to our facebook page.
You don’t have to be a member to view the page.

I like your blog. You can post pictures, audio, and video to the blog by using the insert media icon. I made a screen capture to show you what it looks like – http://screencast.com/t/QrvRgyzGKj
Thanks Terrence.
Hey, you are welcome. Nice pics! I think it would also be cool if you added some info on your “About” page as to what your trip is all about. It sounds like a great experience and people that read your blog would be interested. Whenever I go to a blog the first thing I like to do is click on the “About” page to get a summary of what the blog is about. Is this for a class, a co-op, internship, your major, travel abroad, etc. Have a good one!
Terence
Great news. I like the photos too.
Where is the hotel (Kate lived in Hampstead and had classes at Kings College) and the firm?
It’s expensive and might be out of the way, but if you can get to the Tower of London, I hear it is well worth it.
Thanks so much for sharing!
