Summary: A civil war spectacular that portrays life in the South during and after the Civil War. The story depicts the war itself, the conflict between the defeated Southerners and emancipated renegade blacks, the despoiling of the South during the carpetbagger period, and the revival of the Southern white man’s honor through the efforts of the Ku Klux Klan.

Summary: Susie is a country girl and William is a country boy. The girl loves the boy and will sacrifice anything to give him true happiness and an opportunity to realize his ambitions. She puts him beyond her reach, and within the reach of another who is chiefly interested in making a desirable marriage. He marries the other, never dreaming of the final sacrifice.
