In class questions on “More Testing, More Learning”

1. The purpose of the first paragraph is to draw the reader in and get them thinking about their own study habits and put them in the situation.

2. The way the author words the sentence shows you everything he thinks is wrong with the current ways of testing and sets up the solution to be the opposite of these problems.

3. The key terms he put in this sentence are his main points that he then puts into their own paragraph’s and explains.

4. He explains a little more what the current or ‘ideal’ test situation is, but also then introduces his solution here too.

5. He introduces it as his main point and tells all the reasons why it is the best reason. He then breaks it apart and explains each one using facts and research that proves that his points are valid.

6. He uses these sources to back up that his reasons for having more frequent tests is the right choice. He then uses parenthetical citations.
