No this post is not about how the world needs MY blog, however there is one that is near and dear to my heart. The brand Total Package Chick is designed just for women, mainly those entering into the grown up world for the first time, and need advice on how to take everything on. Their blog, entitled SmartChick, focuses on helping women navigate through life on multiple different plains: from how to think positively, to finding balance in life, to how to set everything aside and relax for a bit!
As a college senior who will be entering the big kid world very soon, I love the stuff that they post about how to manage all the different spheres in your life. It seems as though the older you get, the more your life is taken up by things that you HAVE to do, rather than things that you would like to do. And when forced to make a decision between looking good to your boss by doing more work, or planning a surprise party for your best friend’s birthday– at least for me work oftentimes wins. Your friend will still love you, even if making time for him/her would have been cool; your boss may not be as sympathetic or understanding. 
That is why I like this blog so much: it forces me to realize the places in my life which are lacking or could be improved upon. Yes getting work done early may impress your boss, but there is always more work to be done, and you are overdue for a girls night with your best friend. The blog also delves into some more internal topics, such as why we tend to resist change rather than going with it, when we know the change is for the better such as eating better or working out. To me, reading these posts reminds me that though I have my life in order, improvement is always an option. These posts remind me of my goals for keeping my thinking positive, my dreams big, and remembering what is most important in my life.
The brand is up and coming, so there aren’t very many posts as of right now, but a new one comes out every week to two weeks.
