My first office space was okay, but needed plenty of work..

My second office space was better, but didn’t quite do it for me..

My third and final office space is the one, this space is the best fit for me from the spaces that i have designed.

The New Improve Office Space…….

Posted in Uncategorized on June 27th, 2009 by kdrobin

The new and  improve office space took me a little longer than my first two ideas, but this design do fit me and how I would design my office space if I had a chance. I wanted to have the meeting area on the first level to focus more so the public area. that would be located all on the first floor. For the private space of course that would be on the second floor where my office is located with a private lounge space parallel from the my desk. This gives me my own space with out feeling as if I’m stuck in a bad, crowed, tight space. I had some problems from the first design to the next one to the final space. I am extremely happy about the final layout of my office space.

The End.

The SL is something I knew nothing about until i took Audra’s course. I have to say I’m glade I did because it help me to create things with no limitation and that is something i love to do. Cant wait to see whats in store for the future of SL……… The projects we had was extremely fun and hard at the same time. By having to come up with a great design with in the space your given could get frustrating at times and become hard. But by taking your time your able to create something you didn’t know would come out the way it did.  The office space, the Work space and Final Store project was no easy tasks to complete. they came with many loops hold but when you over come those obstacles.

Here is my final Work space, Office space, and Group Freebie store…Enjoy

The Review…

First I want to thank everyone who came and reviewed our designs.  The review was great I meet a lot of new people who all has been doing great things here at Bowling Green. All of the Stores that was design by all of the groups were phenomenal. I didn’t know the things that was design could ever be created in the SL. The whole review was overwhelming and exciting. We all had so many ideas and reasons behind our designs. The jury really gave positive and negative statements, however they were all useful. They helped me understand the different concepts one could have in a design. What compliments one another or where things may go or what needs to be added or taking out. I feel as this was great to do and cant wait for the future jury in architecture.

The Group…

The group that I was assigned to was a great fit. we all clicked and listened to each other ideas and work. We all worked together to created something nice in the SL. I wouldn’t want o trade my fellow group member for no one.. It was fun and interesting working with different people with different ideas. We had so much to feed off one another. It was Awesome.!freebie-store_0031

The Deadline…

Our freebie store is coming out better then i thought. From the team work we all have been doing really helped us come up with more stronger ideas. From the texture to the design of the store we all had our input and it came out great. The Store space is here to give you a better way to get around. Our store does exactly that, you can navigate to each room with no problems with the camera view or movement. Both entrance/exits is located at each end point of the building, we felt since the scheme leans more towards a linear scheme we should but the entrance/exits on each end. By doing this we have made it much easier to enter the space without getting stuck or lost. We surrounded the each room (besides the changing room) with a dome like window structure, so you can get plenty of natural light inside and have a great view from the inside out.  The virtual abilities were the most important thing we had to worry about, therefore, we design this building with no limitations. No dead end spaces where it may become crowed and that is when no one can escapeupdated-freebie-store_004 the crowd. Another, is the interior maze like design. We knew by having a maze like design could turn out good or bad, we didn’t want to take that chance so we kept it simple, but sweet. One cant get lost our design is created to see whats in front of you with any confusion. The texture is something we played with but finally came to a solution to used the texture we have. they all look as they compliment one another, and they do look slightly heavy but it works.

The time has came and left, but we have design something that will not be forgotten.

Peace, The Great..

The Concept!!

The concept me and my classmates have come up with is to have the Freebie store open up with more space to navigate. The scheme would have to fall under a Linear Scheme. It helps give each department in the store more space and not be all congested in one spot. The male and female clothing department has their own changing room in order for them to have more privacy when one is changing. The Car area is more open to find some of the vehicles much easier. And the rest is open in a dome like shape to give it a positive circulation throughout the department.  The final project is going to be awesome once we get done…. Stay tune.!!!!

Peace, Tha Greatfreebie-store_003
