Reporter wanted in Indiana

The Commercial Review, which took first place for general excellence in the 2014 Hoosier State Press Association Better Newspaper Contest, is seeking its next reporter.

The reporter we hire will be assigned to either the city or county government beat while sharing police/courts with another reporter. The job also includes photography, layout/design, column writing, proofreading and feature writing.

We are looking for someone who has shown a commitment to journalism, whether it be professionally or through work at collegiate newspapers and internships. Students who will be graduating in May are encouraged to apply.

The Commercial Review has finished in the top three for general excellence in the HSPA contest in each of the last four years. The win for general excellence was one of our 20 awards in 2014.

Radio Television Digital News Foundation Scholarships

The Radio Television Digital News Foundation invites college undergraduate students to apply now for one of the Foundation’s 7 undergraduate scholarships for the Fall 2015-Spring 2016 academic year. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2015.

We offer scholarships for students of color, a prize for sports reporting, awards in memory of journalism pioneers, and more. Students can take our quiz to see which scholarship is the best fit for them.

Fashion Photography Opportunity

Do you love fashion, photography and blogging? CollegeFashionista.com is looking for ambitious, goal-orientated interns this summer to report on the fashion trends happening on their campus. Our interns, aka Style Gurus, are in charge of capturing street style photography around their college campus as well as creating articles based on their findings. Summer Journalism at NYU

Summer Journalism at NYU provides both for an experience you won’t forget. We have a variety of classes for pre-college and college students, and one graduate multimedia production course.

This summer we’ve added three new courses to our already diverse line-up–Sports!, The Profilers, and a classic from our regular academic year, The Beat, with a long-time favorite professor, Frank Flaherty, which runs as a special 9-week course. First session courses start May 26 and second session courses run from July 7 to August 13.
