Unpaid Internships
Internships available in digital media (website), national programming, Washington Week, Learning Media, communications/PR, and corporate marketing. WETA is the leading public broadcasting station (TV/radio) in the nation’s capital, serving Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia with educational, cultural, news and public affairs programs and services. Internships typically last approximately 12 weeks and are offered throughout the year to coincide with the typical academic calendar. Most interns work 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 20-40 hours/week during the summers. Interns may get assistance with transportation expenses.

Timelines:
– Spring (Jan.-April); application deadline is Nov. 15.
– Summer (May-Aug.); application deadline is March 15.
– Fall (Sept.-Dec.); application deadline is July 1.

Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in a college or university OR have graduated within 12 months from the start of the internship. Interns may receive academic credit.
