Washington Weekly, the groundbreaking millennial-powered political and trending news magazine-styled show, is looking for self-starting student journalists. We are interested in students joining our news team for 2014 Midterm Election coverage from the following states:
• Florida
• Iowa
• Kentucky
• New Hampshire
• North Carolina
• Ohio
• Pennsylvania
• Virginia
• Wisconsin
The ideal candidate possesses strong writing skills and is engaging on camera. Additionally, the correspondent must be enthusiastic about sharing the millennial generation’s point of view, follows politics and trending news and is interested in a career in digital/video journalism.
As a part of the 2014 Midterm Election news team, you will be responsible for providing coverage of your state’s races with the millennial viewer in mind. You will be expected to write broadcast and text pieces as well as shoot video using
our flip cameras.
