Duties and Responsibilities
- Support team in developing, planning and executing PR campaigns for series, specials, promotions and events
- Develop press materials to including, press releases, Talent bios and show descriptions
- Write weekly “press hits” emails and media appearance notices
- Assist in the daily monitoring of media stories and placements
- Liaise with Talent agents, managers and personal publicists on press requests and media/industry appearances
- Work in tandem with multiple internal departments on Talent-related initiatives
- Manage asset requirements of PR agency partner (i.e. screeners, show clips, images/artwork, etc.) for program priorities and Talent appearances
- Secure and manage New York-based PR interns
- Assist in organizing meetings by booking conference rooms, ordering catering, etc.
Keys Skills/Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; Knowledge of the TV, Entertainment and Lifestyle industries a plus; Critical thinking and active listening a must; Strong organizational and time management skills; Attention to detail and accuracy; Capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Must be able to work collaboratively with team members; Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups; Keep others informed of workload, timeline, and resources needed to accomplish tasks
Education & Experience
- BS/BA in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or other related field
- 1-3 years professional work experience
