Job Openings: Two-Year Reporting Interns
Newsday, Long Island’s Pulitzer Prize-winning daily newspaper, is hiring two-year interns who will be responsible for producing web-first content by monitoring breaking news and trending stories on competitive websites and social media.
The newspaper is seeking candidates with strong writing skills and a demonstrated ability to use social media to find and promote stories. Interns will be expected to quickly and accurately produce content that will appear on the publication’s award-winning website, Newsday.com, in addition to the paper’s print edition.
Candidates for these positions must have completed a graduate or undergraduate degree within one year of participating in the program and have less than one year of professional experience in the job title for which they are applying.
The positions will be based at Newsday’s headquarters in Melville, N.Y., just over 30 miles from New York City.
