Catalog Course description: An Introduction to Literature: The Human Quest. A general education course with emphasis on humanistic themes and basic literary concepts. … Not accepted for English major or minor. Prerequisite: enrollment in or completion of GSW 1120. Applicable to the humanities and arts general education requirement.

Evaluation and Grading: Quizzes, a mid-term exam, a paper, a final exam, homework and attendance.

Writing:  one 4-page paper on the application of one or more quest elements to a designated story or stories or an autobiographical account about one of your own personal quests.
