For today 2.24:

Today’s agenda:

– Peer review session will be conducted a bit differently this time around.  In the style of musical chairs, we will switch computers and take a quick look at the projects in progress.  In the “notes” section of the PowerPoint slides, provide some feedback or ask specific questions to get specific feedback.

– Journal entry #4 (emailed to me before midnight tonight):

How did this round of peer review go for you as opposed to last time.  Do you feel like you got more points of view to help you out.  Finally, what is your overall goal with this project?

For the weekend:

– Show your finalized project to someone who is not in this class and ask for some feedback (hint, including some of their feedback might be a journal entry prompt on Tuesday 3.1)

– Next week (3.1-3.1), the unit 2 projects are due and will be turned in during a brief individual conference with me in my office.  I slotted out half hour chunks, but these little meetings will I expect will only last about 15 minutes or so.

– Finally, here’s our next reading assignment although this isn’t reading words on a page; rather, it’s watching a short film called, The Story of Stuff. This film will help kick off our next unit, which will entail an analysis of an advertisement as a form of visual argument.

– Here’s the link(s) to the film (the links are also posted in our BlackBoard site in the “Assignments” tab in the “Articles for 3.1 discussion” folder):
