Dr. Barton Bernstein, emeritus professor in history at Stanford University, was the featured speaker in the Gary Hess Lecture, held on April 8th in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union to a large gathering of students (undergraduate and graduate alike) as well as faculty representing different departments and majors.

Dr. Barton Bernstein lectured on “The Atomic Bombings Reconsidered,” a topic in which Bernstein is a leading expert. For more on Dr. Bernstein’s lecture and teaching interests, please see our earlier post.

Dr. Bernstein was introduced by his former student and current professor in the Policy History program at Bowling Green State University, Dr. Benjamin Greene.
