Joe Faykosh, a Doctoral candidate in the Graduate Program in Policy History and president of the Gamma Upsilon chapter of the History honorary Phi Alpha Theta, presented a Professionalism Forum on presenting at conferences on May 1st. Titled “So, You Want to Present at a Conference?” the Forum discussed reasons for presenting at conferences, turning seminar papers into conference presentations, and the “dos and don’ts” of preparing for conferences.

Phi Alpha Theta is planning a slate of Research and Professionalism Forums for the 2014-2015 school year with the overall theme of “So, You Want to be a Historian?” and aimed at all manner of issues facing graduate students.
