My peer reviewer helped me organize my thoughts more clearly. She showed me that I need to work more on synthesis and show that I really understand and have good back up arguments to prove my point that teen pregnancy rates are rising due to the media.
I have a lot of work to do on my research essay. I still need to finish organizing my thoughts and make my arguments stronger.
I believe my topic is very argumentative. There could be many reasons for the rise in teen pregnancy rates. And I believe the main one is glorification in the media. It is now becoming more and more okay with society for teens to become pregnant and more are doing so.
This topic really has nothing to do with my major, but I would like to do teen pregnancy rates rising due to glorification in the media. I watch many of the teen pregnancy shows on tv and love them all. So I am very interested in the topic. However many of these shows are on ‘reality tv’ and I believe they are helping to rise the rates of teenage pregnancy.
I plan to use Fromm, Milgram and Lupach and Luckowski from our book. I also plan to use the Bible and an article from EBSCOhost.
The book sources are very helpful to me in my writing. Fromm is a great source that I have gotten many of my quotes and supporting evidence from. Fromm has only helped influence me to believe more in my topic that disobedience needs to be taught to people because they do not know how and when to disobey.
I want to explore people in my paper that have disobeyed and made a difference in society. I also want to explore people that have gone against their morals and obeyed an authority figure when they should not have.
I have a lot of good supporting evidence as to why disobedience can be a good thing. I am just having a hard time organizing my argument. This paper is not easy and I still need to do a lot of work on it.
The article on uncivil disobedience does influence my thoughts on my essay. I am not trying to prove that all types of disobedience are right. I believe the most respected type of disobedience is civil disobedience. You have to have a legitamit reason for your act of disobedience.
I found many good articles on EBSCOhost that have to do with disobedience and obedience.
