I think my organizational skills have improved the most since I have been a student in GSW 1110. A new type of writing was introduced to me, and in the beginning I had no idea where to even start. Now I feel like I have a good idea of how the department expects the papers to be written and it makes much more sense to me.
I still have a lot of work to do on this essay the next two days. My intro is a little long and needs to be condensed. I need to cite my sources and I need to get some more information on what constitutes winning a newberry award.
Essay 5 is very frustrating. I have never judged a childrens book to determine if it deserves a newberry award or not. There is a lot of research that has to go with understanding the characteristics needed to win a newberry. This paper is all very opinionated and there is no wrong or right answer. So it is hard to judge such things with so little background knowledge of the topic.
I really like my book, What game shall we play? It is very cute and clever. The illustrations are very good and explain what is going on in the story very well. The delineation of characters is very well explained. And the plot development is very clever.
