More Testing More Learning

I think O’Malley’s essay “More Testing More Learning” is a very good essay that I totally agree with.  O’Malley’s thesis statement is that professors gave more test instead of two a semester than it would put less pressure on the students and it will help them psychologically and intellectually.   One of his main points was that it does not create frequent studying for so it fails to inspire students best performance. Another point to his essay was that the current system cause unnecessary stress for students. I feel like O’Malley is correct in his theory but there was some objections.  One of those objections was that short exams take too much time for professors to read and grade. Another was these exams take up to much valuable class time.  But O’Malley  countered back by offering alternatives to the situation.  For instance he said that the schools should implement study skill programs.  I feel like O’Mally had a great essay that was very accurate and should be listen to by professors.
