From tacos and fajitas to margaritas and quesadillas, El Zarape located at 1616 East Wooster St is sure to calm your craving for authentic Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere is sure to bring a smile, decorated with brilliant colors and fun music, El Zarape brings the authentic from the start.

According to El Zarape’s website, El Zarape offers fresh local ingredients with an emphasis on keeping the cuisine authentic to Mexican style cooking techniques. The wide array of menu choices range from my personal favorite, the cheese stuffed chile poblano peppers covered with a red sauce to steaming hot steak, chicken or shrimp fajitas. The quesadilla supreme is another one of my favorites, a warm quesadilla shell is stuffed with mushrooms, beans and beef tips. It’s then served along side:lettuce, guacamole, sour cream pico de gallo and rice.

Margaritas and daquiries are also a big hit at this Bowling Green hot spot and can be served in many different flavors like: mango, strawberry, raspberry, pina colada, banana and peach. Complementary salsa, which is made fresh daily and homemade chips that are made to order, are also served as a starter for every table. The Creamy cheese dip appetizer, which comes in two separate sizes, is also a good edition to the chips and salsa.

With an extensive and fresh menu and great atmosphere, everyone is sure to be pleased with the authentic Mexican cuisine served up at El Zarape.
