I found an amazing organization known as Blaze Sports that offers youth and adults with disabilities a chance to enjoy themselves through sport and healthy lifestyles. Blaze Sports focuses on people who are disabled with spinal cord injury, spina bifida, celebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, muscular dystrophy, amputation, visual impairment, and many other physical disabilities. Blaze sports offers sports training, competitions, and camps.
The different sports that are offered include Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Tennis, Track and Field, Swimming, Quad Rugby, Indoor Wheelchair Soccer, Boccia, Goalball, Bowling, Cycling, and Soccer. This organization offers a wide range of activities that would spark the interest of those who are disabled and are wanting to compete.
Recently Blaze Sports has partnered with the National Disability Sport Alliance (NDSA) to increase the opportunities that are available to people with disabilities in sport and physical activity. Blaze Sports has also partnered with the United States Olympic committee and the Celebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association to continue expanding opportunities for the disabled.
