Today is the day, UPS should be delivering my transmitters, receivers, soft box, and reflector. I got my stands last week and can’t wait to put it all together. I work with Nathan Dreimiller at my co-op and have been talking to him about food photography, he has done it before and I trust his judgement. Hoping to go on a shoot with him soon to teach myself more about my lighting equipment since he has the same gear. I hope to get the actual shoot set up for a few weeks from today. I have talked to my boss a bit about what he wants and I am planning on showing him some examples of different styles I would like to try out for this project, and hope that we can agree on something.

I’ve been looking into getting a lighting kit also; where did you buy them from? Cost?
That sounds pretty exciting as well; I feel that not many people know about Revs. It’s kind of one of those buildings you drive by on Main St. and don’t have time to look at and during the weekend, well that’s self explanatory, haha. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Tyler I bought two 800 Watt Alien Bees off of the Paul C Buff website, total of about $560, I bought my 13 foot stands separately on amazon for about $60 each, my transmitters and receivers off of the Paul C Buff site, as well as my soft box. It was not cheap buying it all separate but I wanted to get the best equipment for my finances right now. I would highly recommend Paul C Buff, it’s a great website and even better equipment.
